THC and CBD Longboat Key

CBD Dosage Information

Taking CBD Oil can be confusing. Below is our CBD oil guidance and suggestions. One thing to remember is our bodies change daily and every body is different.

Don’t be afraid to change your dosage depending on how you are feeling that day. As a Pilates instructor, I train the body in front of me, that day. For example, a person can come in one day feeling great so we may do a normal workout. The next day, they may walk in with a tight back. Therefore, we would not do the same work out, we’d modify and change it. Same concept when using CBD oil. I personally do not take the same amount every day, rather I go with how I am feeling. If I am having a fibromyalgia flare up, I increase my dosage to almost double – because that is what my body needs during a flare up. I also do not take it the same time every day. I may wake up and take it because it is what I feel I need that morning. Other mornings, I may not feel I need it, so I don’t take it. Rather, I may take it later in the day or at night to help with sleep. You get the gist.

This is merely a guide as you may modify your dosage based upon your personal needs and if you need some help, please do not hesitate to contact us. Just remember this – we have no THC in our oil, you can not overdose on it and it is not addicting.

How To Take CBD Oil

To achieve the best benefit from CBD, place the oil under the tongue and hold it there for 15 – 30 seconds. Swallow any remaining.

Why take the oil under the tongue?

  • Better absorption.
  • Gets into the blood stream faster

How Much CBD Oil Should I Start With?

We suggest starting with 1 mL (1/2 to 1 full dropper), 1-2 times per day or as needed (see adjust dosage section).

  • Take ideally on empty stomach.
  • Squirt the CBD oil under the tongue and hold it for 30-60 seconds. Most should absorb.
  • Swallow any remaining.

What is the right CBD Dosage Right For Me?

Keep a Short Log
Identify patterns to help find the dosage best for your body. For example, if you have arthritis, the weather can increase inflammation and discomfort, in which case you may want to increase your dosage. Other days may be better, so decrease the dosage or skip it all together.

In your log, you will want to note the following:

  • Dosage amount.
  • Time of dosage.
  • How you are feeling before taking CBD oil.
  • 1-2 hours after taking the CBD oil.
  • Outside factors such as the weather, work, kids, etc. (i.e. rainy, cold, busy at work, etc.)

Adjusting Your Dosage - Every Body Is Different!

As mentioned in the first paragraph, we strongly encourage you to adjust your dosage based upon your needs, that day. Why?

a. We all are different body sizes.
b. There is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to CBD oil. It’s okay to adjust your dosage, for example – 1.5 droppers, 1/2 dropper, 2 full droppers, etc. You won’t overdose on it.
c. Review your log for patterns (see below) and adjust accordingly.
d. You may need a different strength CBD oil based on factors above, and that’s okay. Do what your body indicates.
